The child, when at legal age has the right to choose whatever religion he or she wants just the way every other adult has that right. But pending the time the child grows up to be an adult, he or she continues to observe the religion of his parents.

Also, children who have been legally taken away from their parents have the right choose whatever religious belief they want without discrimination. However, parents can guide children so that as they grow up, they learn to properly use this right.
