With how small the penny is, it reaches terminal velocity pretty quickly which is also not too fast, about 64mph. If air didn’t exist, it could fall about 208mph. But since we have air friction, it would hurt but not necessarily kill.
That is very unlikely. A falling object accelerates until it reaches what is known as terminal velocity. That means the wind resistance is sufficient to stop the acceleration. A baseball dropped from such a height might kill you, but a penny is unlikely to do anything more than give you a little knot on your head.
