I felt sick after getting my first shot of the covid vaccine, I’m about to get the second shot and I don’t know if it’s okay to use pain killers after.

Although, they said you can if you feel some pains after the injection. Most people suffer little or no pain following the vaccination. If possible try to grin and bear it rather than relying on more chemicals in your body. I had mine with no problems, but everybody’s different. I understand that the second vaccination normally causes a more painful reaction.
Don’t take them before a shot to try to prevent symptoms, but if your doctor agrees, it’s okay to use them afterward if needed. The concern about painkillers is that they might curb the very immune system response that a vaccine aims to spur. Vaccines work by tricking the body into thinking it has a virus and mounting a defense against it. That may cause temporary arm soreness, fever, muscle aches or other symptoms of inflammation — signs the vaccine is doing its job.
