I know that this might seem absurd and weird to do but trust me this will definitely bring your mind to your control. What you have to do is that you have to train your mind for a period of time because it has become haughty due to long caught habits. If you want to go out and have fun, you stay reluctantly at home. If you want to sleep, you stay awake for hours. If you want to see a movie, you go and study instead. Do everything opposite to what you really want to do. And force your mind to act that way only.
By practicing mindfulness, you can gain control of your mind and how it works. Try to focus on the present alone. Slowly when you start taming the mind, you will start to focus on the present alone. Never let your mind worry about past or future all the time. Whatever you do develop interest in it and do it well. Keep yourself physically fit. Learn to relax and slow down. When you have no time to think at all and you really focus and love what you where is the time to imaging things. Don’t waste even one minute. Prioritize your day and allocate time for all activities and love whatever you do.
