Is it possible for all programmers to hack? Or they probably have to learn how to do that separately?
Anyone can exploit a system only if it’s exploitable in the first place. A professional programmer is not a hacker, but is definitely in a good position to quickly learn how to hack systems. However, hacking systems is a special skillset. It is common that programmers pick up bits and pieces of hacking skills especially when they have to write code that could be a target for exploiters, but it requires dedication to learn the deeper stuff.
A programmer is someone who writes or maintains software or scripts. The PC repair guy may understand hardware and know what part you need to replace, but he isn’t a programmer. A hacker studies security flaws and knows how to get around computer security. It doesn’t have to be technically challenging, the biggest security risk is the user, either from being tricked, manipulated, or making a dumb mistake. Most of hacking is psychological, some is understanding networks, and the last part is running other peoples scripts and being able to manipulate code.
