It’s less an issue of dirt and more of dead skin/oil buildup on the clothing. I would suggest always wearing a clean undershirt instead of washing your expensive shirts more often if you want to see if it helps. Also, make sure that in the shower you wash your back after you’ve applied shampoo or conditioner. A lot of hair products can be irritating and cause breakouts. So I always wash my back after and I use a brush scrubber that can reach the places I can’t.
A major cause of acne in general whether on the back or on the face is as a result of bacteria on the skin: Many of the bacteria that cause acne are naturally present on our skin. One way to prevent your back and shoulders from acne is by always practising proper hygiene. Acne happens for many reasons. Regardless of the cause, acne is often the result of some kind of imbalance or blockage in your skin. A clogged pore may be caused by overactive oil glands, bacteria, dead skin cells, or some combination of these factors.
You can get acne back from friction because of your clothes. Wearing tight clothes can cause friction on the skin and cause acne. This is especially true for those people who work out. If you work out, you should wear loose clothes on your back to reduce friction and prevent acne. Hormonal changes can cause back acne. At a young age, hormones are changing and this can cause acne on your back. If you get acne on your back in your teens, it is probably due to hormones.
