  1. Dementia can kick in at any time in a person’s life, sometimes triggered by other factors. But most naturally set in folks in their 60 plus years. It is most rampant among the elderly people, it is characterized with lose of memories, losing track of events that took place in the past and even forgetting about planned future events. Dementia can cause change in mood and difficulty in performing tasks.

  2. First of all, any person of any age group can experience dementia in their lifetime. It is not restricted and exclusive to only the older people in their 60s upwards. Although, very rare, there are known cases of dementia in young ones and adults. This may be as a result of an underlining health issue or an accident. But in older folks, dementia often kicks in when they get into their 60s upwards.
