I’ve tried various sites for learning vocabulary over the years because i’m a logophile and i simply love learning new words, but some of them aren’t easy to navigate and they cost a bit if you want to them to be fully functional. However, I prefer free sites that are easily accessible for everyone. I’ve been using Vocabulary.com for over a year now. It’s a great tool for learning new vocabulary. You earn points by answering quizzes and completing the challenge. You can also keep track of your progress and as you keep playing, the site will record your trouble words and words that you have mastered. There’s a plethora of lists out there that you can discover and add words to your own list so you can practice by quizzing yourself. When you look up a word that you don’t know, the site will show you a comprehensive meaning of the word and you can add it to your list to practice later. It’s fairly easy to use. A great way to waste your time on the internet.
Quizlet is a great tool for vocabulary learning. You can find tons of vocabulary lists there someone else has already made, or make your own.
Quizlet can read words and definitions to you, and can automatically match words to definitions other people have written. It has learning games and spelling practice.
