Doctors are terrifying, especially neurosurgeons. I work in the medical field and they’re truly devoid of humanity. to become a surgeon, you have to essentially give up your free time and all semblance of mental health in exchange for massive amounts of knowledge, money, and authority. The saddest part is that they never really get to enjoy the fruits of their labor. I know doctors in their 70s worth millions who are miserable in their jobs but will never retire because they can’t imagine doing anything else. Pretty tragic I guess.
If you looked at most doctors, you’ll notice that a lot of them pick up on certain psychopathic traits. But that doesn’t mean they’re psychopaths, it just means they’re going to be good at their jobs no matter the situation. Although with most if not all doctors put their emotions in a box for the sake of the patient’s safety and their own personal safety. They don’t want to destroy themselves by becoming attached to the outcomes. It’s their job to fix, not worry about fixing.
