What are the other ways to spread and dry clothes when it’s snowing?
Hang your wearable items on hangers and hang in doorways until dry. I also like the wood racks that can fold up and be put away when garments are dry. Towels can be draped over the shower curtain and bars, with sheets thrown over the tables to dry. The towels may need to be flipped over to help dry the underside, and sheets can be ironed which will help dry them out.
My mom used to have clotheslines strung all over the kitchen in during heavy snowing to use the heat from the stove to dry the clothes. All other rooms in the house except for the kitchen and bedroom next door were closed to save on heat. Modern engineering has brought us electric and gas dryers. Pop in the wet clothes, set desired heat level and dryness level, press the start button, and in 40 minutes or so, you have dry clothes.
