Much has to do with the history going back to mob days. Today there is a lacing when it comes to enforcement of minor crimes of those parting as long as no one was harmed. Recently they have cracked down on alcohol related issue such as DUI. Booze, gambling and sex are big reasons. There are hookers even though the nearest legal brothel is over an hours drive from Vegas. Sex is easy to find as members of both sexes really let down their hair when they are here. But these issues are for tourists as most here are regular honest working people.

We cannot generalize but many among us have the tendency. It depends on age too. Their circumstances and life style may also put some weight in the statistical outcome in case it is carried out. These are people who become homesick too early. They may miss their environment, family members, friend or are averse to the changed routine in new place. I know a case of a student who was happy leave for a course only to return terribly homesick. After a few months, wanted to go again because he got bored with local environment. He was unable to convince his parents to open the purse for him. Such people mostly carry some sort of mental disorder.

Just like non autistic people I am sure there are some autistic people that do go to jail. The reason that autistic people would be arrested and go to jail is because the encounter with the police officer does not go well. Often times when a person with autism encounters a police officer the officer does not know that the person has autism. Then when the person with autism does not follow directions immediately because he does not handle being yelled at he goes into defense mode then the officer thinks he is refusing to follow sieections and the officer thinks he is refusing arrest and it goes down hill from there. It just takes some compassion and recognition on what the officer is dealing with and the whole encounter could have been avoided.
