If the shoot is going to be long, the production has to provide for the education of the children while they’re working. There may be certain safety restrictions about what sorts of scenes they can and can’t shoot. All of that hassle goes away if you just hire a young-looking 18–20 year old.

I personally don’t think there is such a thing as a dead end job. There are only dead end people. A dead end job is a job where you don’t see any future. Dead end jobs are usually talked about by people who don’t like their jobs and/or don’t like their boss and/or don’t like their company. When someone doesn’t like any of these three things or all three of these things they don’t feel happy to be working in that job so they call it dead end because they don’t believe there is anything good about where they are working.
