Hmmm…it only becomes an issue when he starts lagging now behind in his academics. If he is diligently working on his schoolwork and homes works, then there is nothing to be worried about. However, he still can not dedicate all of his free time to gaming. You are asking if you should be worried because as his parent it concerns you. The fact that you are even questioning whether it’s ok or not is already a red flag. The thing is, video games are addictive. He’s gotten to the point where he is using most of his free time playing video games. You need to set limits for him, it’s your responsibility. Hep him find something else to share his free time with so dedicating all his free time to video games doesn’t become a problem.
