Yes, men are also able to freeze their sperm for a particular period of time till it is needed. This is really a great option for those considering vasectomy. If there is any part of you that suspects you might want a child in future and you are set on having a vasectomy, I would recommend freezing sperm. For several reasons. The first of which, assuming you have a normal sample, then it will be easy to freeze many straws for future IUI/IVF use. In fact, if you have not had a sperm analysis previously I would recommend having one done just to see where you stand because it will effect your outlook with the various options. Additionally, frozen sperm can actually be held indefinitely at this stage without much change to viability.
