Some companies will put a ton of resources behind their management trainee programs in order for the individual to succeed. You will have on the job training, learning, projects to handle, people to supervise and mentoring / coaching. It’s a holistic view of you within their organization to take you from point A to Point B in the structure and set you up for long term sustained success within their organization. It’s similar to marketing in that the highest cost they will incur is on boarding a new hire so it’s wisest to spend the resources to retain them. The second type of organization is the complete opposite of this. People are different and each of them has unique characteristics and understanding. People not born with knowledge or intellect they are developing themselves during their lifetime. Intellect is something that people evolve thanks to their practice, education, and surrounding. No one can tell another person that he or she is not intellectual because there is no standard for intellect. Each person has a unique way of understanding that may enforce others to think that the level of intellect is low for that person. What passes for an intellectual varies. Too many people are under the misconception that they are, when they are far from what is the true meaning of the word. Thus, each person is intelligent and there are no standards to decide who is intelligent and who is not.
