Many ovarian cysts will go away over time or do not change. However, watchful waiting is controversial and some physicians believe benign cysts should always be removed. If the cyst doesn’t go away after several menstrual periods, or if it gets larger, your doctor may want you to have an operation. Your doctor may want you to have surgery if your cyst doesn’t look like a functional cyst on the sonogram. Many ovarian cysts in women of childbearing age require surgery.

You can say that again, the improvement in researches have made a lot of people relaxed. Compared to when HIV was first detected, it was seen as the “end of the world”. In fact, many people committed suicide even before the virus killed them. But now, thanks to the upgrade we now have in medicine.
