I recently started taking 250mg of Glutathione daily and I think it’s helping my PIE. Took about 2 weeks to notice a difference, but any little bit is worth it to me. I also take 2 fish oil capsules a day. I honestly can’t tell if it does anything for my skin, but it could be the kind of thing that I only notice when I stop taking it. I was taking vitamin A, zinc, and vitamin E for about a year and I really saw improvements in my skin! My skin is acne prone and it cleared up so much. However always take zinc with food because it will really hurt on an empty stomach.

Oral supplements are available in powder, ampoule, or capsule form. They complement the diet by adding nutrients or other substances: plants, minerals (vitamin C, magnesium, etc.), antioxidants, trace elements, amino acids, fatty acids, active ingredients, etc. Alone or in combination, the components help meet specific needs and deficiencies or act on particular problems. They provide a health benefit that plays a significant role in our outward appearance. Some supplements work to fight stress, improve immune defense, prepare skin for the sun, etc. I would recommend supplements with anti-aging properties such as vitamin D & E, zinc, vitamin C, and collagen. Collagen is the protein that’s responsible for skin elasticity. Unfortunately, there aren’t vegan or vegetarian alternatives to collagen. The only real collagen is from animal sources. If you decide to try taking collagen, I would recommend you take it orally because the skin can’t absorb the protein when applied topically.
