With the COVID-19 having its effect on the society at large, it sure has its effects on the immigration system too. Everyone is advised against non-essential travel. Many countries have set restrictions on travel, partial border closures. There are people who planned to travelled to their home country but they’ve been unable to due to the outbreak. International migration in the US is will mostly remain constrained due to the fear of transmitting the corona virus.
Here in Ghana, the immigration service has included the COVID-19 testing in the ICV, otherwise know an as “yellow card”. The testing is to help prevent and contain the spread on the virus across borders. The COVID-19 testing has been made a requirement that must be fulfilled for entry into member states.
