  1. Child actors who are 2-6 years old can be on set for 6 hours a day, but they can only work for 3 hours. For actors ages 6 through 9, they can be on set for 8 hours, but work for only 4 hours. Actors ages 9 through 16 can be on set for 9 hours, but they can only work for 5 hours if itโ€™s school time. During the holidays, they can work up to 7 hours a day. 17-year-olds can be on set for 10 hours and work 6 hours a day. During the holidays, they can work up to 8 hours a day.
