Actually, some types of contraceptives will infact make you fat. I used to be on birth control pills and I added so much weight, when I got off the pills, I had to start trimming out my fats, and it wasn’t easy getting rid of the fats. I’m now on IUD and I am certain it’s not enhancing my weight gain, I think it’s the perfect birth control for me.
Contrary to the most shared belief that contraceptives will make you fat, not all contraceptives make a person add weight. Birth control pills, IUD do not cause a person to add weight. Although, there are reports about control implants and shots causing people to add weight. But even at that, bodies differ. The fact that they make some people add weight does not necessarily mean they will cause you to add weight. Have a discussion with your doctor to know which birth control is the best for you.
