All students who write dissertations know that it is a huge and difficult task. But why is it so difficult? As a writer at gulf dissertation for the past 5 years, I have had the experience to tell you the 3 reasons why dissertation writing is so difficult for most students. Here they are:
Thinking too much: Doing extensive research and thorough reading is a prerequisite of dissertation writing. But once you have done this, don’t wait too much. Just start writing what you think about the objective in question. There is always room for revision later on. Thinking too much in order to make your writing in the first draft perfect, will get you nowhere. It will just delay your start.
Lack of frequent revisions: Many students take a good start but never visit the professor’s office for revision and checks every now and then. This can be costly for students at the end when the professor points out several changes. There is no time left to do a thorough modification in the end which leaves students panicking.
Not starting early: Procrastination! this is the biggest mistake. Being intimidated by the task and not starting it soon because of fear of being unable to do well at it, only makes the whole task more difficult. So start as soon as possible, is the wisest choice. This will give students plenty of time to re-read and correct, Plus they won’t have to rush and will have the convenience of taking things easy
