is it my Netflix account that is misbehaving or it’s a thing other Netflix in general? Removing movies or series after it must’ve been added before

When Netflix shows a movie or TV series that it didn’t produce, what it’s doing is signing a contract with the owner of that content saying Netflix has the right to stream this content for a particular period of time in exchange for some money. If it’s some small film or littler-known TV series, it’s a smaller money. Once that contract expires, if it’s not renewed, that content is gone from Netflix. The only way a streaming service couple keep that movie or TV series permanently is to buy it outright. I have no particular inside knowledge, but I imagine from the streaming service’s standpoint, that’s a pretty risky gamble. You either plop down a lot more cash so you have rights to this thing forever, when it’s not clear that the demand will be there to justify that kind of decision, or if it’s something that remains strongly popular.
Netflix only has a limited amount of time to stream content based on the contract they have for the series or film. With so many stations going to an on demand format and companies starting their own streaming services, a lot of content will be removed from Netflix. New content is offered throughout each month as well. Something may be removed, but something else comes up to take it’s place.
