It’s all for the attention, social media is a place where people gain attention. Most people use social media hoping that more people will notice their existence and attract them, which is a very wrong reason in using it. On social media, people choose what they want to show and what they want to hide from people. They creat their own life and identity in that virtual world, which sometimes is totally different from the real one. That’s how they gain acceptance from society. They’d say it’s just the way they find their confidence but really, it’s more like the other way around.
Well, that’s based on personal choices. There are a lot of people who feed on the lies they live on social media, that’s how they are able to pay off their bills. It all stems from celebrities being paid to help market products, a lot of people then think the products belong to them. Then guess what? They go all the way to try and be like these celebrities. It’s actually a very crazy and complicated game they play on social media. No one, absolutely no one should live their lives based on what they see on social media, that’s because majority of the things you see there are lies.
