As outer ear canal contains the hair follicles any inflammation of these follicles lead to zits. Frequent itching can lead to trauma or infection. If you have a habit of itching nose and ear at a same time you are more likely to get zits as you are transferring bacteria from nose to ear.
This is a common problem faced by people who frequently use headphone, ear plug, helmet because their ear canals gets little ventilation.
Zits can actually develop on any area of the body. They occure mostly in oily areas such as the forhead ,nose, cheeks, ear ect. They are pores that gets clogged with oil ,bacteria or dead skin. Those pores gets exposed to oxygen then gets oxidized and sometime the bacteria causes a little inflammation followed by an infection causing some minor pain.
