How can I focus in class?
Anxiety about school or grades can be another deeper issue leading to lack of focus in the classroom. Students who are overwhelmed or stressed by a subject may simply check out, leading to dropping grades and confidence.
Being unable to concentrate can be the result of a chronic condition, including:
alcohol use disorder
attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
chronic fatigue syndrome
concussion
Cushing syndrome
dementia
epilepsy
insomnia
major depressive disorder
mental disorders, such as schizophrenia
