Is it me or Netflix really painted Anna sorokin a f*cling hero in the limited series? Anna was a cold blooded fraud, one that should not be glorified.

My major problem with this show is how they make her out to be much more competent than she actually was. In real life, her big loan applications never really went anywhere. First bank never even gave her a meeting and during her second application, the due dilligence caught her in lies within a week or two of presenting documents. The people at the investment firm immediately saw something was fishy. She gave them $100k for due diligence and as soon as they started to ask questions she just demanded her down-payment back. She used it to party until it ran out.
To me this story isn’t really being portrayed fairly. This girl was a mastermind criminal. Her looks got her everywhere and the fact she played up this role of the naive, yet cunning rich girl should be on full display. She’s a sociopath. She’s not well. This movie did a lot to make her out to be this super boss in a way. It’s weird.
