A Muslim female can show her hair to other females as well as her family such as Father, Mother, Brothers, Grand father, Uncles- they are called “Maharim” which means that they are poeple who can not marry her or have a sexual desire towards her. Not only her hair, but also parts of here body so she can wear what she wants but she should cover her private parts. Infront of foreign men, she should cover her hair and body.
The whole point is to cover a woman’s beauty. Hair is classed as part of this. Women are naturally more beautiful whereas men are more rugged. And of course men can be more damaging to the female gender. It is actually to stop men from being attracted to random women because we always have some men who will take desires to the extreme and commit rape etc. The hijab is like a protection method for a precious person. Women are regarded as precious. Women on the other hand do not get excited by male beauty to such an extent that they would physically over power them and try to rape them
