It is important to note that each woman has a different body and different functioning and hence the wait period differs from each women. However, studies show that the standard and healthy wait period is between 3–6 months after the Miscarriage or when your natural menstrual cycle resumes. During this period it is important for the women to relax and adopt a healthy and happy lifestyle with all the right nutrients and self care. It depends on a lot of factors, including how far you were into the pregnancy that miscarried. If you have an underlying condition like PCOS that causes irregular cycles, it may also take longer. There is certainly nothing wrong with taking a month or two off from trying to conceive after a miscarriage, to give yourself time to heal physically and emotionally.
