All of this green stuff on the faucet is a strong indicator that you, indeed, do have hard water. Another is limescale. This is a thick layer of chalky stuff that covers anything where water has been. Limescale can be white, yellow, or green. So you have two choices to address the problem: clean up the green stuff or get the minerals out of your water.
The green deposits around your shower, sink, and toilet drains are a result of water with a low pH level. What this means is that the water coming out of those fixtures is acidic and therefore harmful to your plumbing. The green stuff you see is the leftover deposits that come from acidic water affecting your pipes and fixtures. This can actually be fixed with the use of water treatment systems.
