Beware, most of the common skin lightener contains hydroquinone as its ingredients which is not uniformly safe. It’s been banned in most of the countries and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has proposed to ban it in the US. Skin care products, containing hydroquinone, may cause cancer and it causes rashes and can even darken the skin. Another harmful ingredient mostly used in lightening product is steriod. Using steroids without a prescription is illegal, some skin lighteners contain steroids so potent that they can damage your immune system. The worst of all the skin lightening products? They’re the ones that contain mercury as its ingredients. It is a very dangerous metal that can destroy our kidneys and nervous system. But you can easily find these harmful products in the market, even in the US. Why would manufacturers knowingly use such dangerous ingredients? Mercury salts are comparing cheap than the good vitamins and can create a more lightening effect. As there is a number of side effects using chemical made cosmetics products, I always recommend using natural remedies of every problem possible. All the solution to our problem is available on nature. So you can use natural products like honey, aloe vera, turmeric, and yogurt, etc.
