There are no particular decisions that can ruin lives. In fact, there are some seemingly decisions that can ruin a person’s life. Not taking decision at a delicate moment can also ruin someone’s life. Every decision we make can either make us or ruin us. The one decision I made that almost ruined me totally was leaving home when I got my girlfriend pregnant at 17, that was the biggest mistake I made. I stayed away from everyone that could help us, subject the mother and child to suffering. I nearly went to jail when my girlfriend died, I hit rockbottom and I never imagined I could get out of the situation nor make any meaning out my life again.
The biggest decision that ruin my life was marrying a man who was in prison. He ruined me financially. Turns out he never loved me. He used alcohol and drugs to excess when released. I lost my savings, my home, 2 beloved dogs, and my future. I am now divorced from him (I had to pay for that, of course) and now live on a small Social Security check. I am unable to work even part time due to chronic pain in my back and legs. I have no children, no one to help me financially should Social Security end for some reason. I gave him everything because I am a giving kind of person. He is a taker. My decision to marry him ruined me.
