What is the difference between eastern Protestant Christians and Orthodox Christians?

Eastern Orthodox is similar to Catholicism in tracing its origins all the way back to the first century. But it is more “touchy feely” and less intellectual. Believers tend to have a more mystical, intuitive approach to their religion. Icons are emphasized. Protestants are less mystical, often less intellectual, are very much part of the world. Protestant clerics may be married and are encouraged to be so. Protestantism feels there is no divine power passing through a succession of bishops going back to Jesus and the apostles. Instead, it’s typical for Protestants to call upon the Holy Spirit, which may speak through any man, woman, or child, at any time.
I think the biggest difference which is the root cause for all the other differences is their source of authority for their beliefs and practices. While Protestants are leaning almost exclusively on the Bible as the ultimate authority, the Orthodox Church draw that authority from Tradition, Holy Fathers writings, leading Patriarchs’ inspiration, and in a much lesser degree from the Bible. Orthodox Christians don’t follow anyone’s inspiration since they don’t know if it is an inspiration from God or a trap from the devil. We follow the established tradition, and the decisions of the synods.
