The ability to withstand starvation for a long period of time depends on the body-build. There are clinical cases of individual with anorexia nervosa who have survived near-starvation and lived on just water. If there is no reason to embarks on such starvation, there really is no point doing that to oneself. This is something that was rampant during famine.
To survive without eating you just need enough extra fat to see you though those 30 days. At 3500 calories per lb of fat and a calorie requirement of say 2000 calories per day that’s 2000/3500. Some people have the ability to store up fats in their body, those fats would be what get used up when you’re going through starvation. And although you may be drinking water, there is no certainty that you will last 30days.
