Do more of what makes you feel less stressed. There are many self help books and articles that offer suggestions of what has worked in the past for specific individuals. Try out some of the suggestions and make notes about how well they work for you. You might try combining two or more things that work well for you. Sometimes it can be helpful to talk to other people who have experiences and life histories similar to yours. As you do this, be as kind and gentle and compassionate to yourself as you are able.
First of all one, medicines do not exactly help get rid of stress. Medication is prescribed by your medical practitioner, even when they won’t always have the exact answer for you. They may prescribe something and the key is to see how it works for you and your situation. They may have to alter the prescription, by increasing or decreasing the dosage or changing the medicine altogether. The key to medication is to be honest with yourself.
