An immature relationship has endless variables, but some of the common ones would be childish behavior like the need of having your way at all costs, gravitating to foolish conversations, saying and doing things you should have passed from at the age of 13, a mindset that has no real plans for where the relationship is going, heading on dates to places which have little appeal for grownups, etc.
As for a mature relationship, the foundation begins with a great friendship and the ability to connect with each other regardless to the conversation. It means admitting you’re wrong and listening to your significant other no matter how much you may disagree. A mature relationship isn’t all about physical intimacy, although a healthy dose of it can be a positive. It requires sacrificing and working each day to push forward. A mature relationship also means not running away the first time something goes wrong, while it also builds goals and makes time for getting away from each other in order to avoid being too codependent. A mature relationship is two people forming one unbreakable bond.
Immature relationships are based mostly on looks and age and whether one person can satisfy the needs of the dominant partner. When conflict arises, one person may take that as a cue to flee the scene and wait until circumstances are more favorable for a quick reunion later. Sexual pleasures and attraction may be the deciding factors in whether the relationship is worth saving after a fight. In fact it may be the only reason they get back together. A mature relationship is one based on mutual respect, not one respecting the other but both partners respecting each other. The art of communicating to the other has been mastered and if they fight, the fight is fair and resolved quickly without rancor or hard feelings.
