Sometimes, pimples show up on your upper lip. Pimples can appear anywhere on your lips or face. Cold sores can itch, burn, or tingle. Pimples may be painful to the touch. Acne around the mouth might develop from recurring pressure on the skin near the mouth, such as from daily cell phone use or a musical instrument. Cosmetics or other facial products, like toothpaste, lip balm, or shaving cream, might also be to blame. Hormones and genetics also play a role.
You may apply a very warm, but not hot, wet compress to individual pimple around your lip line. Follow with benzoyl peroxide cream or sulfur spot treatment, and wait for the pimple to clear naturally in one to three days. Squeezing or popping the pimple has no beneficial effect and could cause infection and scarring. Instead allow the pimple to clear naturally in one to three days.
