You end up developing a tolerance for caffeine so that it takes ingesting more and more to achieve the same amount of waking up power. Caffeine is also a diuretic so you end up urinating more and that could be dehydrating.
If you’re consuming large amounts and then stop – you’ll likely get a headache or something along those lines throughout the day. You also get a spike in blood pressure – if you have some sort of problem with HBP then you might want to avoid caffeine. Some people report a sort of restlessness and anxiety from coffee.
