personally, I feel the challenges that come with being a teen mom are not well-discussed. Every teenager out there should know about the real life challenges that come with being a parent when you’re just a teenager yourself.

  1. Parenting is really time consuming. As a teen you need to be enjoying your life and preparing yourself for getting a job in the adult world. Children are an expense. How would you buy food, clothes, pay doctor’s bills, etc., if you are a teen and have a baby?
It is not fair to you or the baby to be a teen parent. Wait until you are an adult and you have a good job and a husband who helps you.

  2. Being a teenage parent can be very hard, of course there are some that are able to handle the task but not all. Babies are cute and cuddly but they grow real fast and need a secure life and a parent that is going to be strong for them and teach them about life. You can not just have a baby and expect it to grow all by itself. Babies are a lot of work. You also can not be certain that your baby will be born perfect. So many babies are born with life time problems Babies are not little dolls to dress up and then put away when you are tired of playing. Babies are also very expensive and get more expensive as they grow, and they grow quickly. It doesn’t take long for them to start school and by then they are turning into their own little persons and need more and more attention. Children are not stupid and know what is going on around them and they need to have stability and routine. If you are asking because you are a teen and wanting a baby I suggest that you find a baby sitting job because after a few hours you will more than likely decide that its better to wait.
I was a teen mom but I was very lucky and was able to finish school and go on to college along with my sons daddy stuck around and we got married. Not all teenage pregnancies turn out that way. Being a teen mom your life is no longer your own, it belongs to the baby for the next 18years and more.
