Pekingese is one calm and gentle breed. They are extremely loving and have the personality to show it. Pekes build strong bonds with their owners, but can also be very independent.
The Retriever have a predisposition to obedience, learning and pleasing their owners and are commonly utilized as assistance dogs. They are also recognized as one of the least aggressive dog breeds, and are therefore well-suited for families since they get along wonderfully with children. They are energetic and social creatures, they require at least an hour of exercise a day to flourish. Due to their easy-going dispositions, they easily form bonds with people.

Any breed of dog can be submissive, it all falls back on how you train and groom your dog. The dog who is raised and trained right is the submissive breed. You can’t just label a breed as submissive or not because there are a lot of factors that determine how they turn out to be submissive. However, from my experience, i think Golden Retrievers are amazingly submissive, always loving and friendly.
