How long does it take to know the result of a visa application?
From which country and which country? The waiting time for interview date varies from city to city. If your application is in order and you have submitted all the supporting documents, it takes about four weeks to issue the visa. However, it may tale longer than four weeks if your background check contains some concerns and for some countries which are considered as high risk requiring additional background checks then it may take about 12 weeks or more.
The processing time for your visa depends on the visa type and category for which you are applying. Normally, it takes typically seven to ten working days. These estimates do not include time required for administrative processing, which may affect some applications. When administrative processing is required, the timing will vary based on individual circumstances of each case.
