I highly doubt they got paid. And that is not fair that the guy is free and the girls are still in debt, I was surprised that they didn’t see asking money as a red flag if he was supposed to be rich but I can see that the man took his time to made them feel that it was a real serious relationship, like they said “he is a professional, he does this for a living”.
I saw this documentary on Netflix. It is insane to me that he’s still living the same lifestyle as before even after prison and media coverage. I hope he hasn’t found some new woman to scam but that’s probably exactly what’s going on. It’s unfortunate that the victims hold much of the accountability and the swindlers end up not paying a dime.
