The hard to reach population also known as hidden population consists of individuals who are not “seen” or paid attention to in the society. There are many groups of people that fall into this category of hard-to-reach population. These groups include; men that sleep with men, women that sleep with women, heavy injection drugs users, small local tribes, and so on. These people are individuals who you can’t just jam across the street, and sometimes when you jam them, they don’t appear as what they represent.
The hard to reach populations are groups within the society that always always sought or are poorly represented. Hard to reach can vary based on the context in which it is used; but they often include, but not restricted to; low income earners, individuals with physical and mental disabilities, aboriginal people, new immigrants, sex workers and people with addictions.
