I see no reason why trans women shouldn’t be allowed in the same setting with biological women. Creating a different restroom for trans women automatically creates a sense of exclusivity and discrimination. When you accept trans people, you accept them wholly.
Nigeria does seem like a very dangerous place for the lgbtq+ community. The community is stigmatized and discriminated against in that part of the world. I wouldn’t advise any one in that community to travel to nigeria as the place is not safe for people of that nature.
Naturally, it could be pose danger allow trans people use the restroom that they feel comfortable with and matches their gender identity, and not the one that corresponds with the gender they were assigned at birth. However, there may not be cases made concerning this “danger” just yet. In the light of that, trans people should be allowed to the use the restroom that matches their identity without the feeling of being discriminated against or ostracized.
