you should definitely give it a go, I believe shopping online is the easiest way to get your products, no hassle, no stress, just your product delivered to your footstep ready to be used, as for spotting fake websites then I think you just need to be vigilant because a lot of fake people can easily pass off as real.
You can tell a fake page from a genuine one, is he page private? Big red flag, not saying all private vendors are scam, just in my experience, also they might try a little bit too hard to make you feel comfortable shopping with them, the comment section under their post might be on private, if you see any of these signs, best to run.
