dating a friend’s ex is one of the most essential dating taboos. “Don’t date your ex” is right up there with “don’t break up over email.” For good reason. Which is that people never really get over significant romantic relationships. Not really.
I don’t mean that you can never be happy again after breaking up with someone. Of course you can. But it’s largely a matter of compartmentalizing. You get a new and even prettier girlfriend, or hang out with your friends more. All of those old wounds stick around, just waiting to be re-opened. Dating your friends ex, especially your bestfriend, is tricky, I would stay away from that.
A woman that your friend was having casual sex with: These days, many guys date and have sex with multiple women at once. So, if you’re hanging around with friends who do that regularly, you will usually end up sleeping with a few of the same girls at times.
