my girlfriend has a bestfriend who she knew before she met me but their relationship makes me jealous these days, what can I do?
First I would like to say its fine to have friends/ bestfriends of the opposite sex. Second id like to point out its unhealthy for either partner to cut off any relationship without proper reasons or discussion. Third if it was a girl asking her bf to cut off a relationship or something. A lot of people would call her crazy or delusional. And would say she needs to back off but its the same for guys too. And this discussion is to point out things to think about and ask yourself this questions so you can have a productive conversation with your partner no matter which of you are uncomfortable.
I wouldn’t find this okay at any one point in a relationship. Well of course this depends on which kind of relationship you’re going for. A short term? With no idea where you see yourself with her in the next few years? Go ahead, why not?
But if you’re looking at yourself with this girl having a life and family together, then finding this “cool” is a lie you’ve got to stop believing in.
