What’s your opinion on open marriage, is it worth it? Is it considered healthy?
For obvious reasons I have no place in telling people how to live their lives. But I know for a fact I would not be okay with it. To me, relationships mean nothing without exclusivity. If I had a partner who brought up the idea I would be insulted and simply call it off. I can’t help but feel that it’s telling someone, “What you have to offer isn’t enough for me and I need another person to make up for what you lack.”
If you’re both able to have multiple other sexual partners and your relationship is still working and you’re both truly happy, than I think it’s fine, but if it’s just an excuse for one of you to cheat while the other is at home hating their life for agreeing to ever do an open relationship, then it’s a problem.
