When I’m at my low state, I get to have really ugly obsessive thoughts. Many times I get scared as I don’t trust myself to not do anything silly at the time, what I do is to call anyone I trust and speak to them. Or cry if I may. Trust me, after doing that, I often feel a lot better and refreshed. It takes my mind off such thoughts at that time and helps me become hopeful. There are different strategies that work for different persons, but I wish to let you know you’re not alone.
I have the same problem. What normally helps me is to think about how meaningless life is in general. When you realize how small you are compared to the universe, your problems seem a lot less troubling. Just remember none of this matters in the long run. But I’ve been told that coping like this is weird, so I’m sorry if this doesn’t work for you.
