NYSC REGISTRATION PROCESS 2022 | THE PRICE EACH STATE IS PAYING AND THE THINGS YOU NEED IN CAMP.
In order to work and earn well in Nigeria, it’s compulsory to go through the National Youth Service Corps. NYSC( National Youth Service Corps), is a one year service to the nation. However, it is considered by various undergraduates as a FUN and STRENOUS experience. Meanwhile, it is pertinent to note that NYSC is not for everybody. The three basic educational system(primary, secondary and the tertiary institution) is essential before one can serve as a youth corper.
Also, there are steps required to be a National Youth Service corper, and REGISTRATION is a very important factor that must be executed before any undergraduate can be considered for the Youth Service. The registration process required are listed as follows;
1. Visit this website address; portal.nysc.org.ng/nysc1 or http://www.nysc.org.ng
2. Check senate list for verification of your records.
3. If you are registering for the first time, click on “Registration for Mobilization 2019 then your Batch”
4. If you have registered previously and did not complete your registration or submit, do not create a new account instead click on “login here” to continue your registration with your previous username and password.
5. If you were mobilized in the previous batches and have registered online before but unable to proceed to orientation camp, click on ‘revalidation’ link to re-validate your registration.
In shedding more light to what NYSC entails, another factor to be cosidered is the prices paid to Youth Corpers in different states in the country. First and foremost, it should be noted that for some reasons, not all states pay Youth Corpers. There is however a general price paid to all Youth Corpers; 31,800. The payment made by various state is a plus to the Youth Service. Basically, the payment made by states ranges from 1500- 10000. The prices states pay are listed above;
1. Osun state, a Yoruba state in Nigeria pays 5000naira
2. Oyo state; the most populated state in the South Western Nigeria and even Nigeria as a whole pay N3,800
3. Sokoto state pays a sum of N4000
4. The Zamfara states; located in the North Western Nigeria pays N3000
5. Kano state pays N4000
6. Lagos state; has its largest economy and it is ranked the 4th in Africa as a whole Pays N5000
7. Ogun state the most industrial state in Nigeria pays 5000 naira
8. Ekiti state, jigawa state, Delta state, Abia state pays 5000naira
9. Kaduna, Cross River and Bayelsa state pays 3000naira.
Conclusively, there are items needed to get through your registration at the NYSC camp;
– [ ] Your NYSC call up letter is one of the most important thing you must not forget when you are packing for the orientation camp. Take with you both the original copy and photocopies made
– [ ] You should also take your school identity card. You can also make photocopies of your school identity card. It is the proof to be presented that you graduated from an institution
– [ ] You are to take with you the original and six photocopies of your statement of result/ certificate of the course studied
– [ ] Recent passport photographs is also required.
– [ ] You must obtain a medical certificate of fitness.
– [ ] You should also tag along with you file jackets, stationery, white round neck t-shirt, white shorts, plain white sneakers or tennis shoes, white soc, underwear and padlocks.
