My boyfriend would want me to stop using makeup, but I love my makeup and I’ve tried to make him understand. What should I do?

I don’t think anyone can tell you what to do, you already know what your decision is. But for the sake of giving a response, I’ll definitely give my two cents. Any boyfriend that tells you not to wear makeup is either insecure or he strongly feels the makeup doesn’t fit you, maybe you don’t know how to apply the makeup well. If it’s the latter, he can always tell you that in a sensible way and may even enroll you in a makeup class. If it’s the former, I’ll strongly advise that you let him go, but if you think you can give up wearing makeup to secure your boyfriend, oh great, do that. But just know that the way he just told you to not wear makeup again is the same way he will complain about your clothes soon.
A lot of guys don’t understand how makeup works. They don’t see how wearing makeup can accentuate a woman’s positive features while drawing someone’s attention away from those areas she wants to minimize. Some guys see makeup as a mask which covers a woman’s natural face. Some guys don’t care for the fragrance used in makeup. Many guys don’t like kissing a woman who’s wearing foundation, lipstick, lip gloss, blush, bronzer, concealer and highlighter because these products tend to either taste funny, or they don’t want some of it to get transferred to their own face when they kiss their girlfriends.
Many woman look glamorous when they wear makeup. Some guys feel jealous and threatened when other guys stare at their beautifully made-up girlfriends. Personally, I’m a big fan of wearing makeup if it’s not overdone. But some guys believe that natural is better.
